The second Professor Emeritus Chang Jik-hyun Scholarship presentation ceremony was held at 11 a.m. on Monday 13 June.
A number of faculty members of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, including Department Chair Kim Seung-wook, attended to congratulate the students, and Professor Emeritus Chang Jik-hyun attended in person to present the scholarships and offer encouragement, making for a meaningful occasion.

Two students received the scholarship: Kang Ju-eon (class of '17) and Lee Min-young (class of '19), both of whom plan to enter the department's graduate programme after graduating.
The purpose of the Professor Emeritus Chang Jik-hyun Scholarship is to honour the affection for undergraduates of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering shown by Professor Emeritus Chang Jik-hyun, who retired from Sogang University, and to encourage students' enthusiasm for their major coursework.
Students with Computer Science & Engineering as a first major who have completed at least five semesters and achieved an average of 3.5 or above in the major courses taken in a semester (at least four courses) may apply; those selected receive half of one semester's tuition.
Beginning with the first semester of 2021, the scholarship selects and awards recipients every semester, and the number of recipients is planned to increase over time.
