INTRODUCTION
College of Computing

People-Centered Computing, World-Changing Convergence
The College of Computing was established in July 2024 to cultivate convergence talent who will lead the society of the future through software and artificial intelligence.
With Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Division of AI-based Interdisciplinary Studies at its core, we connect theory and practice through education and research,
and cultivate professionals equipped to address real-world challenges through close collaboration with industry.
Grounded in the educational philosophy of the Society of Jesus, we nurture global leaders with academic excellence and character, while creating the core values of the digital transformation era together with society.
Vision and Goals
A world-class convergence education and research
community solving humanity's challenges through artificial intelligence and software
We explore new knowledge and technology beyond academic boundaries and prove the results to the world.
We produce leaders who use technology responsibly for the benefit of people and communities.
Core Values
Strong foundations
Deeply understand the core principles of computing and build an academic foundation that remains unwavering even in a changing technological environment.
Integrate across boundaries
We create new value and knowledge by connecting software, artificial intelligence, and insights from the humanities and social sciences, transcending academic boundaries.
Put knowledge into action
We give back the results of research and education to society in a tangible way, demonstrating to the world the change driven by technology.
Technology for people
We responsibly apply technology to the lives of people and communities and produce global leaders equipped with ethical judgment.
College Structure
The College of Computing brings together two departments, one liberal studies program, Graduate Schools, and AISW Graduate Schools, providing a comprehensive education and research system from bachelor's through doctoral programs.
Academics

From the fundamentals of software to the cutting edge, this program explores the essence of computer science—including data structures, algorithms, systems, and software engineering—as the foundation of Sogang Computing.
About the Departments
We design and implement intelligence centered on machine learning, deep learning, and data. We cultivate core professional talent for the AI era.
About the Departments
A convergence-type undergraduate program where students design their own majors and career paths based on a common foundation of AI literacy. We start from possibilities instead of a fixed framework.
About the DepartmentsInterdepartmental Major

The College of Computing offers three interdisciplinary majors that students can pursue alongside their primary major. By moving beyond the boundaries of their major and combining software, data, and artificial intelligence with their field of study, students can design their own interdisciplinary expertise.
