At the 2025 Seocho AI & Robotics Public Service Competition held on 18 October 2025, Team Sogang Robotics, made up of undergraduates of the department (supervisor: Professor Son Jin-ho), received the Grand Prize (Seocho-gu Mayor's Award).

The winning entry, 'Seoro-ga Hamkke', is a design for a complex space combining a smart shelter, healthcare, play and work based on green space, and was highly rated for its harmony of technological innovation, public value and design.
