Award of Encouragement at the AI Forensic Investigation Challenge 2026

Park Seo-Hyun, an undergraduate student in the Division of AI-Based Interdisciplinary Studies, received an award of encouragement at the AI Forensic Investication Challenge 2026, held on October 6, 2026.

The competitition was hosted and organized by the Department of Forensic Science at Sungkyunkwan University and sponsored by the Korean Society of Digital Forensics.

The challenge was an interactive forensic investigation competition in which participants gathered clues by interacting with generative AI personas and uncovered the truth by cross-verifying AI-generated statements with evidence.

Open to undergraduate and graduate students nationwide, the competition attracted a total of 174 teams from 55 universities. And 8 teams advanced to the final round.

At the award ceremony, Kim Ki-Beom, President of the Korean Society of Digital Forensics, presented the winning teams with cerificates and prize money and congratulated tthem on their achievements.
