Best Paper Award and Excellent Paper Award at the Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers Conference

Park Se-hwa, a doctoral student in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and Jung Kang-soo, a doctoral graduate of the same department — both supervised by Professor Park Seog of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering — received the Best Paper Award and the Excellent Paper Award in the database field at the Korea Computer Congress (KCC 2018), held on 21 June 2018.

Park Se-hwa won the Best Paper Award for the paper 'Processing Reverse Collective Spatial Keyword Queries Using a G-Tree Structure in Road Network Environments', while Jung Kang-soo took the honour of the Excellent Paper Award for 'A Data Privacy–Price Negotiation Technique for Applying Differential Privacy in Data Market Environments'.


The Korea Computer Congress (KCC 2018) is an information technology conference at which the latest research results across every area of information technology are presented. Domestic research results — from blockchain technology to classical computation theory — and papers across the whole of information technology are presented, allowing the currents of mainstream academia to be grasped at a glance.
