Excellence Award at the BBR Youth and Student Hackathon

The BBR (Blockchain Business Review) Youth and Student Hackathon was held at the Seoul Startup Hub in Mapo-gu on 27–28 October.
The hackathon set four themes: △planning and developing a blockchain application to capture teenagers and those in their twenties; △ways of solving problems in social impact areas (public affairs, politics, administration, the environment, healthcare, education and so on) with blockchain; △services using the API of the Davit exchange; and △data trading platforms on distributed networks. A total of 30 teams and 150 participants took part over the two days from the 27th to the 28th.

Excellence Award — Team Penne (Park Sang-hyun, Son Ga-eun, Cho Yu-jung). Park Sang-hyun (fourth year, Department of Computer Science & Engineering) of the Sogang–Ewha blockchain joint club, which won the Excellence Award, said: "I think we scored well for attempting a governance-related product of a kind not seen in hackathons until now," adding: "I hope this hackathon becomes an occasion for the blockchain industry to flourish."
