Introducing the Applied Big Data Engineering Specialization

To students with Computer Science & Engineering as a first major, double major or interdepartmental major,
Hello.
I am Professor Kim Young-jae of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, director of the BK21 programme group 'Cultivating World-Class Practice-Oriented Big Data Convergence Talent'.
From the first semester of 2021, an Applied Big Data Engineering specialization will be newly established in the graduate programme of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, admitting master's, doctoral and combined master's–doctoral students.
The Applied Big Data Engineering specialization is a specialization for cultivating world-class, practice-oriented big data specialists. It is a sub-specialization within the graduate programme of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and offers 1) full tuition support and scholarships through participation in the BK21 programme, 2) education and internships in partnership with AI and big data companies, and 3) opportunities for exchange and (international) joint research with overseas universities, research institutes and companies.
