The Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers conference (KSC 2019) is an information science and technology conference at which the latest research results across every area of information technology — artificial intelligence, computer systems, the Internet of Things, databases and more — are presented. The paper, titled 'A Comparative Analysis of the Performance, Power and Heat of STT-MRAM-Based Storage Devices', defines the problems of NAND flash memory from a performance and energy perspective and analyses STT-MRAM, one of the storage class memories (SCM), as a storage solution to them. The research is expected to be usable in improving performance and energy efficiency in a variety of settings for next-generation memory, such as data centres and HPC.
