What is the LG Electronics Smart Convergence Training Track?
This program selects industry-sponsored students who wish to pursue a master's degree in IoT, AI, robotics, or autonomous driving, and offers employment at LG Electronics after they earn their degree.
Third- and fourth-year students and graduates of Sogang University’s Computer Science and Engineering who wish to enter its Graduate Schools
GPA
3.4 or higher (on a 4.5 scale, cumulative GPA through the previous semester)
Language
Not required at the application stage (a language test will be conducted during the interview)
Military Service
Applicants who have completed or are exempt from military service and have no restrictions on overseas travel
Selection Criteria
Applicants planning to pursue a master's degree (doctoral applicants are not accepted) Academics students must be in their third year or above Double majors may apply

Purpose
To secure outstanding bachelor's- and master's-level talent in semiconductor design, process and devices, and software for Samsung Electronics’ Device Solutions (DS) division
The program cultivates talent in semiconductor design, process/devices, and software through participating laboratories in the Departments of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry, including laboratories participating in Samsung industry-academia projects, and supports their employment in Samsung Electronics’ DS (Device Solutions) division.
Selected undergraduate and master's scholarship students may continue to advanced degree programs in the relevant graduate departments at Sogang University . Selection is conducted through the prescribed review and procedures within the annual talent-development quota set by Samsung Electronics.
In consultation with the academic advisor, qualified Samsung Electronics researchers may co-supervise theses through close industry-academia collaboration, enhancing the quality of research education for track scholarship students.
Recruitment is conducted twice a year—in the first half (March-May) and second half (September-November). Selection includes an internal document screening, Samsung Electronics’ online application, GSAT or SW assessment, interview, final acceptance, and medical examination. Successful candidates and detailed schedules are announced separately for each stage.

Sogang University and Hyundai MOBIS have established the SW Employment-Linked Track within the University's School of Engineering to develop highly qualified engineers for the future of mobility software.

Course Requirements
Students whose major is not Computer Science and Engineering, and students taking a micro-major, must complete the elective courses that the Hyundai MOBIS Track designates for their major before they graduate.
